Amber Schinzing is starting her 13th season with Orlando Gold. She brings a passion for the game and a wealth of knowledge to every team she coaches. Amber’s Orlando Gold 17 Black team was the 2019 17U AAU National Champions. Amber coached two seasons collegiately as the assistant coach with the Men’s volleyball team at North Greenville University and as the assistant coach with the Women’s program at Wofford College. Prior to that, she was the graduate assistant for Harding University Women’s Volleyball Program. She also coached the following High School programs: Olympia for two years, Dr. Phillips for one year, and Lake Buena Vista for four years.  

Schinzing played four years as a setter at Harding University and earned several all-conference and tournament honors. She led her team to an undefeated season and a conference championship while being named to the all-conference team. Amber was named the Female Scholar-Athlete of the year for the Great American Conference in 2012.

Amber has played organized volleyball since she was 13, both club and high school. She respectfully lettered all four years at The First Academy and Olympia High School. On the beach circuit, she qualified and earned second place at the 2009 AAU National Beach Volleyball Tournament in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Amber holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sports Science and a Masters in Business Administration.
